Why do you want to leave your job? 00:55 #1. Do not be negative in any way about your previous employer or work colleagues. #2. Talk about what you have learned in your role. #3. Explain how you are ready for a fresh challenge because you have reached your potential. Q2. Describe yourself in three words. 02:11 #1. Do not say you are hard-working, professional, and conscientious. Everybody says these 3 words! #2. Be unique and give three words that are appealing to the employer. #3. Commercially-aware, loyal, driven. (explain why you have chosen those 3 words.) Q3. How do you respond to criticism? 03:46 #1. This question must be answered with a positive approach and an example of when you have previously taken on board criticism. #2. Say that you view criticism as a potential opportunity to improve and develop. #3. Say you will listen to the criticism or feedback and decide whether it is useful in helping you improve. Q4. What are your weaknesses? 05:05 #1. You MUST give a weakness! Don’t say… “I don’t have any weaknesses, I am a perfectionist.” #2. Give a weakness that is not a match for the job description. #3. After you have given your weakness, tell the interviewer you are someone who is always open to improving and developing. Q5. How would you deal with conflict with a co-worker? 06:10 #1. Don’t say you never have a conflict with co-workers. We all do! This question assesses whether you can resolve it yourself, and whether or not you put the needs of the team first. #2. Do not say… “Whenever I experience conflict I will inform my manager so he or she can deal with it!” #3. Say you appreciate conflict has the potential to hinder the progression of a team and that you would always seek to resolve it quickly and amicably. #4. Say you would assess your own performance and actions to see if you were contributing to the conflict. #5. Say you would speak with the other person to find an amicable way forward.
