Chad continues to review the basic principles of thermodynamics in the context of organic chemistry. He begins with a review of entropy, the relevant factors that affect it, and the relevance for organic chemistry. He then reviews Gibbs free energy (ΔG) and how it is related to when a reaction is spontaneous (- ΔG) or nonspontaneous (+ ΔG).
