www.psychexamreview.com In this video I describe some symptoms and prevalence of several disorders in the Somatic Symptoms and Related Disorders category of the DSM-5, a category formerly referred to as somatoform disorders. The prior disorder of hypochondriasis has been divided into somatic symptom disorder and illness anxiety disorder, both of which are described in this video. In addition, I briefly describe Conversion Disorder and the problem of labeling symptoms or disorders are psychogenic when there may be physiological causes not yet discovered or detectable. Please note that the symptoms described in this video are not comprehensive and there are other symptoms involved in diagnosis for each of these disorders.
