As an entrepreneur you can often feel stressed and overwhelmed with work. There’s a million things to do, but when you finish one task, another twenty things pop up. It can feel like you’re not making a dent, and you’re not progressing as quickly as you’d like. That feeling of overwhelm can often then lead to anxiety or procrastination, and that’s a dangerous place to be for any business owner! But here’s the thing - I don’t necessarily think that the feeling of overwhelm is a bad thing,. In fact it can actually be a superpower, forcing you to push to a new level and figure things out purely out of necessity. The key is, you need to have the structure and organizational skills in place to know how to handle it. You need to be clear about what your priorities are and what you’re trying to achieve in one day. Overwhelm is often the result of trying to do too many things at once. There’s nothing wrong with prioritizing one task over another and only focusing on that one thing. That being said, sometimes there are circumstances beyond our control where outside circumstances can throw a curveball and derail your plans. The coronavirus is a perfect example of this. People understandably feel overwhelmed and stressed right now because they’re faced with something they’ve no experience with and have no control over. Unfortunately there’s no magic solution to this. It comes down to structure, organization and having a clear list of priorities. Everyday will be different – if you ever feel overwhelmed take a step back, draw up a plan of action and channel that feeling into being your superpower! /// ➜ Subscribe for inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGznz4NfW5iymkvn1l40qyA?sub_confirmation=1 ➜ Daniel Grant - G-Digital: https://www.linkedin.com/in/danieljamesgrant/ /// Simon Squibb is a serial entrepreneur and founder of 17 startups and invested in over 65 companies over the last 8 years.
