What are some of the best tools and software to further your success in industrial marketing and technical sales? It’s easy to get lost with all the options available, from productivity tools, organization applications, and customer relationship management (CRM) software. This video will cover the most effective and useful tools out there that you can use to garner your own success. Data Mining: It’s easy to get paralyzed with the amount of lists available, especially since there is a lot of junk data out there. As the saying goes, if you put junk data in, you get junk results out. For one, stay away from D&B Hoovers! The cleanist data lists originate from high quality, and recent sources. Plenty of lists stay floating around and recycled and by the time it reaches you, it may be years old. Some popular CRMs have sourced their own data lists that integrate into their software, and these lists suffer from the same issue of being outdated. Zoominfo is a fantastic source that scans relevant data of company sites to build lists based on key phrases without high licensing costs. CRMs: You may already be familiar with a few CRMs like Salesforce, Infusionsoft, Zoho and others. Sticking to one, integrated and scalable system is the best option. Hubspot has an adaptable CRM system that scales with your business size, integrates with other ancillary systems like ERPs, and plenty of usable features even at the marketing starter level. This and similar CRMs with the ability to scale to your current and growing needs is the way to go. You can also integrate your analytics, and pipeline tracking as well - monitoring different stages of the sales funnel helps you get a better vantage point of where things are going right and where they need adjustment. Whichever CRM you choose, make sure you commit to learning to use it, and bringing out its full potential for your managers and sales team. For a cloud-based proposal system that links with Hubspot, check out Proposify! Social Media: Dialing down your social media channels is crucial to bring out a focused marketing message to potential clients that need it the most. LinkedIn is by far the best place for business-to-business (B2B) networking. Facebook and Instagram are great for posting visual content, product pictures, videos, and demos to garner hype and attention - however, you will be able to properly target leads based on relevant company and business information. The superior social network for anything and everything business related remains LinkedIn. If there’s one channel to avoid, it’s Twitter - its algorithm is unfriendly for B2B and there’s little to no engagement for company channels. SEO Research: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the method of making sure your company’s website is front and center when your services and products are searched for on Google and other search engines. SEMrush, Moz, and Ahref are the top tools in this space, particularly SEMrush allows you to look not just at your own site’s SEO, but competitor’s, clients, and potential clients websites as well to compare, contrast, and analyze traffic, keywords, rank and more. Web Analytics: Building on top of a website that can be found on a search engine is a website that is clean, informative, usable and converts sales. Google Analytics is a great tool here as a first-party source for a data intensive breakdown, however SEMrush can also pull this data as well from a reporting standpoint, however not to the same level of optimization and integration as Google. Being able to analyze the data of bounce rates, landed pages, click-rates, heat maps, scroll depth, and more in relation to your conversion rate and sales funnel is key to keeping your website an effective tool in the sales process. Inter-Office Coms Being able to effectively communicate, collaborate, and share files and data with your team all in one place that simplifies and streamlines the whole workflow. Teamwork Projects is the preferred tool in this space for an affordable, all-in-one platform for project management, chat, and file sharing. #industrialmarketing #technicalsales #marketingsoftware __________ Subscribe For More Video Content : https://www.youtube.com/kylemilan Awesome Playlists: Content Marketing & Social Media: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdmOG7sUsCQzCW9lipIVtEtGJUn-mliFT Sales: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdmOG7sUsCQyeRMYZVnHKbeYT7fjeGhvN MFG Tribe TV: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdmOG7sUsCQxpP555FrTQaYpzlkeaqp0j __________ Say Hi on Social: LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/in/kylemilan/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kylejmilan Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KyleJMilan/ __________ Connect For Business: MFG Tribe: https://mfgtribe.com MFG Tribe on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mfgtribe/ Technical Sales University: https://training.technicalsalesu.com/enroll Tech Sales U on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/techsalesu/
