Concepts of orbital and space mechanics such as the circular, elliptical, parabolic and hyperbolic trajectories of the orbit equation are explained. The orbit equation is expressed as the general form of the conic section equation in polar coordinates. The paths of the space vehicle are shown after burnout for the circle, ellipse, parabola and hyperbola. These paths depend on the value of the eccentricity e of the conic section.
