The density ratio equation from isentropic flow is used to find the Mach number where the density change becomes greater than 5 percent. This point where Mach number is less than 0.3 is considered to be the region for incompressible flow. The case where Mach number is more than 0.3 corresponds to compressible flow. Also, the point 100 m/s shows the transition point from incompressible to compressible flow.
