The effect of altitude on the power required curves for an aircraft effects airplane performance. Equations at sea level and at an altitude are used to get the relations between the power required at sea level and that at an altitude. The maximum and minimum speed of the airplane can be impacted by the power available and required at a given altitude. In some cases, stall speed may be lower than the min speed of the aircraft obtained from power available. Both jet and propeller engine airplanes are discussed. #aerospaceengineering #gateaerospaceengineering #aircraftperformance #flight
