We've seen examples of games with infinitely many equilibria. This lecture shows an even rarer example of a game with an even number of equilibria. Weak dominance is usually at fault. Thus, if you are working on a homework assignment and don't find an odd number of equilibria, check to see if there are any weakly dominated strategies. If there are none, you should keep looking for more equilibria.
