Full Transcript

http://gametheory101.com This lecture introduces semi-separating equilibrium as a type of perfect Bayesian equilibrium for signaling games. A less popular but still equivalent name for it is partially-pooling equilibrium. In such an equilibrium, one type sometimes separates from another type and sometimes pools with another type. Semi-separating equilibria are computationally more difficult to solve for, but they also produce far more interesting strategies and predictions. We will therefore cover a couple more examples in this series.
