Data Structures are quite important if you'd want to crack technical interviews of top companies. We at Scaler bring you this exclusive tutorial to help you deep dive into the concepts of Data Structures. Learn More about Scaler: https://bit.ly/2XVBOX8 🔹 What is a Data Structure? Data Structure can be referred to as a collection of data objects that allows storing, organizing, and retrieving data on systems. 🔹What is an Array in Data Structure? An array is a collection of items stored at contiguous memory locations. The idea is to store multiple items of the same type together. It is a set of homogeneous elements stored in contiguous memory locations. 🔹 What is Linked List in Data Structure A linked list is a linear data structure, in which the elements are not stored at contiguous memory locations. A linked list, although consumes more time than an array, is easier to store data without the drawbacks of the array. In a linked list, each slot is reserved only for one element of data called a node. 🔹 What are Stacks and Queues in Data Structure? Stack is a last in first out (lifo) linear data structure. Queue is a first in first out (fifo) linear data structure. Elements in Queue can only be inserted and deleted from opposite sides. 🔹 Hashing algorithm Hashing algorithm or Hashing as it is commonly called involves mapping a large amount of data item to a hash table using the hashtag function.
