In this video, I will be discussing the vagus nerve, also known as the queen of the parasympathetic nervous system. The vagus nerve is the largest nerve in the human body and it connects to many of our organs, including the heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, spleen, liver, and kidneys. It is bidirectional and sends signals from the brain to the organs and vice versa. Stimulating the vagus nerve can help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and reduce stress. In extreme cases, the nerve can be stimulated through implants to help with severe depression or epilepsy. This video will provide you with an understanding of how your brain and body respond to stress and how you can use this knowledge to reduce stress. In the next video, we will also explore the differences between good stress and bad stress, stress and anxiety. Watch the full video to learn more about the vagus nerve and how it can help you manage stress.
