Welcome! In a previous session, we discussed some of the downsides of stress and anxiety, like how it can badly affect our health as well as our performance. But what about the upside of stress and anxiety? Is there a way we can reprogram our minds so the upside can override the downside? According to Stanford psychologist and researcher Kelly McGonigal, there is a way to do just that. In the following TED Talk, McGonigal talks about how and why she’s transformed her opinion regarding stress. She now believes stress and anxiety are not only beneficial to the way we function, but can help our overall health and well-being.
