Productivity PLC Assigning Modbus Addresses The Productivity Family of programmable logic controllers does not have a predefined Modbus address. These Modbus addresses must be assigned to each of the locations in memory. This is done through the tag database. Select the address row. Right mouse clicks on the Mod Start column and select "Auto Assign Modbus Address." Using the control and left mouse click, you can select multiple non-consecutive tags. With the left mouse click, the shift key will select all tags between the previously selected tag and this one. Right-click, the mouse on the field for the Modbus Start (Mod Start) address. Select "Auto Assign Selected Modbus Addresses." This will assign your Modbus addresses under the appropriate Modbus type.
