It plays two bars,then you play, then it, then you, etc., up to 32 times. Sure, the most difficult lines are very very difficult to get right, but along the way, you can adjust: Pitch complexity Rhythm complexity Whether it starts on the root or not Chromatic notes added or not Tempo Swing or Straight Key Scale/mode Metronome on none or all four beats, or any other combination. This is also made for any instrumentalist, and 32 instruments are listed, including vocal ranges, and transposing instruments. Pitch range can be adjusted from the standard instrument you choose. All you need is to play the lines and the phone or iPad mic will pick it up sufficiently that the app gives you a score and feedback after the tests.
