The basic idea is that a magnetic field can be produced from a changing electric field and a changing magnetic field can induce an electric field. This video explains how to calculate the displacement current between the plates of a parallel capacitor using the permittivity of free space and the rate at which the electric flux inside a capacitor changes. The electric flux is the product of the electric field and the area. The displacement current is also equal to the capacitance multiplied by the rate at which the voltage across the capacitor is changing.
