Input and Output list are elements of system to perform specific activity some form of signal to system (Input) and desired signal from system (Output) are required. The list of these combination signals are called as Input / Output (IO) List for Control System. Instruments with the tag number, the cable connected to the control system appear in the I/O list. These signal may be analogue (AI / AO – Varying signal in terms of 4-20 mA) or digital (Discrete DI/DO – either 0 or 1 form) In control system design, DCS, PLC or SCADA systems are used. Therefore, the control system loading tags need to be identified and segregated based on project specification #InstrumentIO #InputOutputList #IOList This document shall be used mainly to prepare I&C engineering deliverable/or documents. In other words this documents covers the summary of specific requirements listed for ready reference as Selection or Sizing guide while performing Detail Engineering Activities.
