Modern, low-level, remote Ecollar training is the best and most reliable tool to use on a dog of any size. With an Ecollar you can whisper or shout and is more humane than a leash. Dogs trained on Ecollars have more freedom and a higher quality of life because of off leash training. It is also the easiest way to communicate with a dog with severe fear or aggression issues that is so precise and clear that dogs transform in a matter of days and weeks. Certain things we need to correct for and the ecollar is a communication tool like the leash. It also provides us a transition back to the owner where the new behaviors will stick. Why do you use prong collars? We use prongs on most dogs over 12/14 weeks old. It is one of the safest and easiest tools to work with because of the strong communication you can achieve with your dog. Prong collars look scary, but when used properly (and it is hard to use them incorrectly) they are the most humane tool you can use because they do not put any pressure on your dogs throat like most of the tools out there. It creates a very different state of re you can quickly get through to the dog using very gentle techniques through the training phase. We do use slip leashes as well. It just depends on the dog and owner’s needs. #RUFFBEGINNINGS #AGRESSIVEDOG
