If a dog feels pain… should it count like yours? Philosopher Jeremy Bentham, father of utilitarianism, argued the key moral question isn’t whether animals can think or talk—but whether they can suffer. Utilitarianism measures morality by outcomes: reducing pain and increasing well-being. If animals feel pain, then their suffering must enter our moral equation. From factory farming to animal testing and circus shows, counting animal suffering changes the ethical math—and our everyday choices. 💬 If all suffering matters—human or animal—shouldn’t our ethics reflect that? #AnimalEthics #Bentham #Utilitarianism #DoAnimalsMatter #Ethics101 #MoralPhilosophy #GS4Ethics #UPSC2025 #AnimalRights #EthicalReflection #UPSCMains2025 #EthicsShorts #CivilServicesEthics #FactoryFarmingEthics #AnimalTestingEthics #EthicsExplained #UPSCMotivation #EthicsForIAS #AnimalSuffering #EthicsAndAnimals #PhilosophyForUPSC #JeremyBentham #EthicsInEverydayLife #MoralResponsibility #UPSCGS4 #EthicalChoices #EthicsInFood #AnimalWelfare #PainAndMorality #EthicsInAction You can also follow us on: Website - https://www.ethics101.in/ Instagram - https://instagram.com/ethics.101 Twitter - https://twitter.com/kmpathi LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/k-m-pathi-446559151/ Telegram - https://t.me/kmpathi
