In the first style the melody is presented as a Cantus Firmus in Baroque style with two lower parts added below using Baroque figuration. The second presentation comes in Classical style featuring a simple texture and harmonic structure using typical Classical period features such as Alberti Bass, turns and appoggiaturas. A full-blooded Romantic version follows employing much chromatic harmony and thick piano texture. To finish is a version in Cool Swing style making plenty of use of extended chords along with melodic decoration and tritone substitution.
