The MFA’s Ann and Graham Gund Director Matthew Teitelbaum sits down with Pulitzer Prize–winning Boston Globe art critic and author, Sebastian Smee. They discuss Smee’s new book, focusing on the most famous and fruitful artistic rivalries in modern art, including Matisse and Picasso, and Manet and Degas. The two also talk about their personal favorite art works from the MFA’s collection. Following the conversation, Smee will sign copies of "The Art of Rivalry: Four Friendships, Betrayals, and Breakthroughs in Modern Art."
