How To Play Piano For Beginners - How To Play Piano for Beginners, Lesson 7 || Quavers (Eighth Notes) And Accidentals

Lesson seven in my tutorial series on how to play the piano for absolute beginners on the piano, and we're on to looking at notes that last for a shorter amount of time than one beat, starting with the quaver, or eighth note. Understanding how beat divisions work in written music is really important, and also quite interesting — once you master the basic principles you can start to read really quite complex piano music. In this lesson we also take a look at the concept of accidentals, how they work and how to read them in written music. An accidental is a note that isn't usually sharp or flat in the key of a piece of music, but which is made sharp or flat (i.e., usually played as a black note rather than a white note on the piano) as a "one off".
