Full Transcript

We are joined by Abdul Fazal (FA Coach Inclusion and Diversity Manager), Hope Powell CBE (Women’s First Team Manager at Brighton and Hove Albion FC), Manisha Tailor MBE (Academy Foundation Phase Lead Coach at Queens Park Rangers FC), Nicole Farley (Head Coach at Reading University), Alena Moulton (Women’s Head Coach at Stoke City FC) and Coreen Brown (Academy Coach at Arsenal FC) as they unpick and explore the alarming under-representation of Black and Asian female coaches within the game. They consider: • What are some of the challenges that they have had to overcome within their coaching careers? • What would be the most important piece of advice that they would give to aspirational Black or Asian female coaches making their way into professional football? • What do they think are the key factors to ensure there is a pipeline of talented Black and Asian female coaches coming through on and off the pitch? • What would be their call to action for Black and Asian female coaches within the game?
