I loaded the specs from an electronic viewfinder patent into Zemax OpticStudio, and this is what I found. A quick comparison will be made with near-eye displays. Some features of OpticStudio will also be explored, including coordinate breaks, the multiconfiguration editor, and optimization. The eyepiece patent is US Patent number 8,531,774 B2. The head mounted display patent is US Patent number 10,302,906 B2. OpticStudio is a product of Zemax (www.zemax.com) Two Zemax KnowledgeBase articles have been helpful to me: Coordinate Breaks: https://support.zemax.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005488441-How-to-tilt-and-decenter-a-sequential-optical-component Model of the human eye: https://support.zemax.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005575002-How-to-model-the-human-eye-in-OpticStudio I don't ask for support for this content. There is no sponsor. No Patreon. I don't make viewers sit through ads (although YouTube does). So, please click "Like" whenever appropriate. It's difficult to measure the success of this channel. My only metric of success is that the videos help people to do what they do better. How do you measure that? The only signal for success comes from the "Likes", and it doesn't cost you anything to say thank you with a click.
