The 2003 mystery novel and 2006 thriller of the same name have popularized the idea that Mary Magdalene was actually Jesus' wife and is pictured sitting next to Jesus in Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the Last Supper. John Hamer of Centre Place looks at what history can tell us about the historical Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and John the Beloved (the male apostle in da Vinci's painting).
