This module focuses on one of the most important stages in building a social enterprise: validating your idea through a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Before investing time and resources into full development, entrepreneurs must test assumptions, gather real feedback, and ensure they are creating something people actually want. This module provides a practical, step-by-step approach to doing exactly that. What You’ll Learn in Module 4 This module covers the fundamentals of idea validation and MVP development, including: • What an MVP is and why it matters • How to define your target audience and early adopters • How to develop a clear value proposition for your MVP • How to identify essential features and avoid overbuilding • How to design, build, and launch an MVP quickly • Methods for user testing: interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability tests, A/B testing, guerrilla testing • Best practices for gathering high-quality user feedback • How to analyze data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions • How to iterate, refine, and continuously improve your MVP • Tools for building prototypes, websites, and apps (Sketch, Figma, Webflow, WordPress, Flutter, React Native, etc.) • Key metrics to track: engagement, conversion, customer acquisition cost, and more • How to build an MVP development roadmap and set meaningful milestones • How to validate assumptions, reduce risk, and confirm market fit before scaling This module also highlights real MVP examples from companies like Dropbox, Airbnb, Facebook, Zappos, and others, illustrating how simple early versions can lead to high-impact, scalable ventures. About This Course This course was previously hosted on a different platform, which the Center no longer supports. Because of that, the full course is now available for free on YouTube. Some videos may reference earning a certificate of completion. Certificates are no longer issued, as the Center does not have a way to verify course completion.
