In this video lecture, we will follow 4 simple steps to construct JK Flip Flop using D Flip Flop or Conversion of D Flip Flop into JK Flip Flop. We can also called it JK Flip Flop using D Flip Flop. In 1st step, we draw the characteristic table of required flip flop which JK Flip Flop. In 2nd step, we draw the excitation or state table of the available or given Flip Flop. We insert one Column for D in the characteristic table of the JK Flip Flop and fill it according to the next state equation of D Flip Flop. In 3rd step, We draw a K-map based of J,K and Q_t inputs to find the equation of D. In the 4th step, we draw a block diagram of this conversion by starting from the D Flip Flop and implementing the equation of D. The equation of D actually equals to the next state of JK Flip Flop as we have covered in the previous lecture.
