I was easily able to overclock my Ryzen 7 chip to 3.65GHz with no issues! It has 16 cores, with SMT, giving a total of 32 threads - perfect for productivity based applications such as video or 3D rendering! The motherboard I opted to house this CPU on was ASUS’s X370F STRIX Gaming board. The X370 motherboard has a great design with M.2 support, RAID support, USB 3.1 10Gbit/s Type C and a host of other great features! To cool the CPU a 240mm liquid cooler from Cooler Master moves heat away from the centre of the case, instead taking intake air through it’s 240mm radiator to keep the case’s overall temperature cool, great for passively cooling parts such as RAM or the M.2 SSD. For the GPU the ASUS GTX 1060 is highly rated for use with Premiere Pro and has a whoping 6GB of VRAM, great for cranking up ambinet occlusion and textures when gaming, in games such as GTA V! In terms of storage, I opted for both an M.2 and 2.5" SSD, both from Crucial and both 525GB in capacity.
