Which backgrounds do they use? How is the UI animated? The amount of polishing put into the main menus of these games is absolutely astonishing. There are micro animations, particles, camera transitions and changing backgrounds. You don't notice all of this directly, but they still improve the user experience a lot! The UI designers also made sure you always know where you need to go next. You never get lost in the user interface, because it's quite easy to navigate.
