Welcome to the Human-Centered Robotics Lab (HCRL) at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore—a pioneering research facility under the Department of Mechatronics and Control Engineering. Established with an 84 million PKR grant from the National Center of Robotics and Automation (NCRA), HCRL is dedicated to developing indigenous robotic solutions that enhance human capabilities and address real-world challenges. Led by Associate Professor Dr. Ali Raza, the lab focuses on cutting-edge research in: 1- Collaborative Robots (Cobots): Designing robots that work safely alongside humans in industrial settings. 2- Exoskeletons: Creating wearable robotic systems to augment human strength and mobility. 3- Active Prosthetics: Developing intelligent prosthetic limbs that closely mimic natural movement. HCRL collaborates with various industries and healthcare institutions, including Ashraf Group of Companies, Stylers International Ltd., Interloop Ltd., Shalimar Hospital, and the Pakistan Society for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, ensuring that its innovations have practical applications. Notably, the lab has contributed to the development of an elderly care companion robot, integrating empathetic design with advanced robotics to improve the quality of life for senior citizens. As a hub for innovation and education, HCRL offers opportunities for students and researchers to engage in transformative projects that bridge the gap between technology and human needs. 🔗 Learn more about our work: HCRL at KICS UET Lahore 📧 For collaborations and inquiries: [email protected], [email protected] #HumanCenteredRobotics #UETLahore #Mechatronics #NCRA #RoboticsInnovation #PakistanTech #Exoskeletons #Prosthetics #Cobots #ResearchAndDevelopment
