Have you learned how to fly an NDB approach? Does your plane even have a working Automatic Direction Finder (ADF)? We'll use the excellent IFR simulator by Fergo to show you how to fly the NDB RWY 24 at Shannon Airport. 2 things to remember when flying NDB approaches are to 1) always match the ADF heading with your actual heading indication, and 2) to "Push the Head and Pull the Tail." We'll explore how you can use these techniques to fly perfect NDB Approaches and maybe even have fun in doing so.
