Full Transcript

Attention is something your brain can do even if you don't move your eyes to focus on the object of your attention, but what is the benefit of focusing your attention on something? And what are the limits of our attention? Learn about some common, everyday failures of attention we've all experienced. This is a lecture video for a university course in Cognitive Psychology taught by Dr. Brian W. Stone. You may wish to play it at x1.25 speed. As with anything taught at the undergraduate level the information here may be simplified, and at higher levels of study there is more nuance to all of it.
