We will discuss how a modem connects to a satellite dish on the roof and the latency and speeds that are typically associated with satellite connections. We will also touch on the new player in the satellite internet market, Starlink, which has significantly lower latency and higher speeds than traditional satellite connections. We will then move on to Cell Networks and look at how they work, including the different types of cell networks (3G, 4G, and 5G) and their coverage areas and speeds. We will also discuss how they overlap to provide seamless coverage and how they use different frequencies to avoid interference.
