Hey data engineers! You already know that we can connect to a storage account using an access key (bad practice, I know). One of the issues of using it inside ADF is that it might get hardcoded in a linked service definition. If only there was a service in Azure that we could use to centrally store such secrets and simply reference them instead of hardcoding… And there is - Azure Key Vault! But wait, how do we connect to it in a secure way? Wouldn't it be the same issue as we had when connecting from ADF to a storage account? Well, that's where managed identities come in handy. Join me in the 18th episode of my free DP-203 series where I talk about Key Vault and managed identities. Enjoy! ▬▬▬▬▬▬ IMPORTANT LINKS ▬▬▬▬▬▬ My LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/piotr-tybulewicz-81a8793/ GitHub with my drawings: https://github.com/TybulOnAzure/DP-203 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ MEMBERSHIP ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLnXq-Fr-6rAsCitq9nYiGg/join ▬▬▬▬▬▬ CHAPTERS ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 Introduction 00:54 Azure Key Vault 20:55 Managed identity 46:39 Summary
