http://www.ProCPR.org / http://www.ProFirstAid.com When using an AED, there are two different procedures to follow: a witnessed cardiac arrest and an unwitnessed cardiac arrest. For a witnessed cardiac arrest, begin using the AED immediately. If the cardiac arrest is unwitnessed, perform CPR for 2 full minutes before applying the AED. Before using the AED, make sure the scene is safe. If combustible liquid or gas, standing water, or water touching the patent or rescuer is present, the scene is unsafe and the patent must be moved before using the AED. Video created by ProTrainings.
