Chemical plant commissioning procedure - STEPS OF PRE-COMMISSIONING PART-8 (Boxup, Leak check & Inertization)

The final steps of pre-commissioning include final Boxup of pipelines and equipments and also instruments and further again leak checking of the whole loop is done. Leak checking includes holding a definite pneumatic pressure as per standards and then using soap solution to check for leaks. The leak Checking is the final step of pre-commissioning after which the pipelines and equipments are pressurised under nitrogen to avoid corrosion and dirt accumulation in any way, if the commissioning takes longer time after pre-commissioning.
