As a supplement to JSL, I'm making this series of shadowing videos as an excellent way to pick up better Japanese pronunciation and speaking skills through shadowing fun, mini conversations. True to JSL way of learning, the focus is on listen and repeat until it becomes an automatic response and you no longer are thinking about grammar and it begins to flow naturally. The beginner drills can be started from lesson 1 of JSL and though they are not very complex may use grammar from all 3 JSL books. I'll point this out sometimes but the focus is not on learning details about the grammar, but just on mimicking and understanding each individual interaction. This will give you some familiarity when the time comes to study it formally in the text. Level 2 gets a bit more serious and covers seasons greetings and slightly longer expressions. Grammar includes the potential form (-eru/-rareru) and past tense along with mou/mada, ~ta hou ga ii 'had better', ~te kureru, ~tsumori 'intention', and extended predicate ~n desu. 00:00 Intro - Beginning Japanese Shadowing 2-2 00:17 #1 00:29 #2 00:38 #3 00:47 #4 00:58 #5 01:10 #6 01:22#7 01:29 #8 01:39 #9 01:48 #10 Introduction to JSL accent system: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1keXpKuo5aMyDRhUDZz_sqPWxOb-ApBSd/view?usp=sharing Corrections: 1:10 romaji should be: atámà ḡa hêñ ni narísòu.
