If you don't have a lot of time to devote to your garden, but would like trouble free, 3 season interest plants, I encourage you to look into the genus Sedums. Beautiful lush spring foliage going into summer, colorful blooms in the fall, great hardiness and drought tolerance. Majority of sedums can overwinter in pots outside and will be happy without watering during summer vacations. Perfect plant to me!
