In this video, we discuss various ways to characterize linearly dependent sets. There are many ways that we can determine that a set of vectors is linearly dependent without relying on the computational method we learned in Lecture 15. This video also includes the Linearly Independent Columns Theorem, which tells us that the columns of a matrix are linearly independent if and only if the matrix has a pivot in every column.
