In this lecture, we will study the various dimensions of scientific method like contructing a hypothesis, observation, experimentation, Empiricism, Objectivity, Value Neutrality, Generalisation and Multi-variate analysis. We will also analyse how scientific method uses Inductive approach to develop universal theories, principles and laws. We will also define science, study its characteristics and goals of understanding, predicting and ultimately controlling nature.
