For more photography tips visit our site: http://phototipsguide.com/ In this video tutorial you will see how does shutter speed (exposure) affect video (and how to set shutter speed for DSLR video). This function affects not only exposure, but the motion sharpness and smoothness. The lower shutter speed (1/30, 1/40 etc) - the smoother motion in your video. The faster shutter speed (1/800 - 1/4000) - the motion is sharper. Caution! While shooting in interior light, you will see horizontal band lines when you set faster shutter speed. The optimal shutter speed for interior light: 1/30. In this video we compare many examples of different shutter speed (exposures). For this video we used Canon 600D (T3i). Aperture - F8, ISO - auto.
