A few months ago, I was looking for instruction on how to make a Shaker cheese basket on YouTube, but found nothing. So, I get to post a video about it! Before making the basket in this video, I figured out the pattern, and then taught 13 other folks in various classes to make it too. One of those was a five year old with very clever fingers, so don't be afraid to try yourself!

The materials all came from V.I. Reed and Cane, basketweaving.com. The pattern is from Country & Shaker Baskets To Weave by Nellann Roberts. You will need 3/8 inch flat reed for the body, 1/2 inch flat reed for the rim, and 5 mm wide binder cane to wrap the rim.
