HOW TO BUILD A RESUME TO SUIT A NEW PROFESSION! Are you looking to switch your career and find a new profession?  But.. your resume is still formatted to the job you are at.  In this video, I want to help you make your resume suit your new profession and get you started on that job search!  The first thing I want you to do is “Recognize your transferable skills”  You want to start reading up on the new industry you want to work for and figure out what they are about.  You then will learn -what are skills that are required to do the job. You want to start creating a list of all the skills that would match this job you are wanting to apply to.  You may already have lots of these skills listed in your current resume, but perhaps there are some that you know you can do but haven’t written them down.  Once you create this list and start cross-referencing which ones you have and start adding to your resume. I want you to think creatively - so for example you are moving from a sales role to a management role. So, what do these two have in common – they both require the ability to give a presentation, to understand complex knowledge, and use specific language to communicate.  Also, they both require you to have strong communication skills that will show you are persuasive and empathetic. ⭐️BONUS: I have listed a variety of videos, where I go into more detail on how to write your resume and create a cover letter, and have an amazing interview!
