Welcome to another exciting episode from Cyberwings Security! In this video, we'll show you how to hide data in an MP3 audio file using DeepSound, a free and open-source audio steganography tool. Steganography is the practice of concealing a file, message, image, or video within another file, message, image, or video. This can be used to hide sensitive data from unauthorized access or to send secret messages. DeepSound is a powerful and easy-to-use audio steganography tool that can hide any type of data in an audio file, including text, images, videos, and other audio files. It also supports encrypting the hidden data to protect it from unauthorized access. How to use DeepSound to hide data in an MP3 audio file: Download and install DeepSound from the DeepSound website. Open DeepSound and click the "Open carrier files" button to select the MP3 audio file where you want to hide the data. Click the "Add secret files" button to select the file(s) that you want to hide. Optionally, you can click the "Enable encryption" checkbox to encrypt the hidden data. Click the "Encode secret files" button to start hiding the data in the MP3 audio file. DeepSound will display a progress bar showing the encoding process. Once the encoding is complete, DeepSound will open the output MP3 audio file. How to extract data from an MP3 audio file using DeepSound: Open DeepSound and click the "Open carrier files" button to select the MP3 audio file containing the hidden data. DeepSound will scan the audio file for hidden data. Once the scan is complete, DeepSound will display a list of the hidden files. To extract a hidden file, right-click on it and select "Extract file". DeepSound will prompt you to select a location to save the extracted file. Once you have selected a location, DeepSound will extract the file. Use cases for audio steganography: Hiding sensitive data from unauthorized access, such as trade secrets, financial data, or personal information. Sending secret messages. Watermarking digital media.
