Check out the full fluids playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSQl0a2vh4HC7tmkuYc7nD8vIn2mOKQFS A fluid is a substance that has no fixed shape. Fluids include liquids and gases. Fluids can be characterized by their density, which is defined as the ratio of mass to volume. The ideal fluid model assumes a fluid is incompressible (same density everywhere) and has no viscosity (no resistance to flow). Sections: 00:00 - Intro 00:40 - What are fluids? 02:49 - What is density? 04:36 - Ideal fluids 07:52 - Floating/sinking 09:10 - Why is Earth's core denser than the crust? 10:04 _ Why don't lakes freeze all the way through? ------------------ Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.
