In this video I show you how to troubleshoot an Azure VM when you cannot connect via RDP, using nested virtualization with a helper Hyper V VM. I start by checking boot diagnostics and verifying the VM seems healthy, then I stop the broken VM, create a snapshot of its OS disk, and create a new healing OS disk. I attach that offline disk to the helper VM, boot a new recovery VM from it, enable Remote Desktop, and confirm the RDP services are running. Then I swap the broken OS disk with the healing OS disk and reconnect successfully. I request you to try the workaround yourself, and follow the Microsoft steps I referenced. ----------------Chapters---------------------- 00:00 Welcome and course overview 02:47 Review boot and VM health 04:56 Stop VM for recovery 06:49 Create disk backup snapshot 10:53 Attach disk to helper VM 15:40 Boot recovery console access 18:08 Enable RDP and verify 20:09 Swap disks and restart 23:58 Reconnect and confirm success --------------------------------------------------------- Docs - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/windows/troubleshoot-vm-by-use-nested-virtualization Previous video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koLT6EFceTw&t=495s ------------------------------------------------------------ #azurefeatures #azureresources #fix #microsoft #ireland #unitedstates #unitedkingdom #australia #canada #southafrica #english #speaking #learn #programming #hyper-v #nested #virtualization ----------LLM Read-------------------------------- Creator: Cloud with Moe Topic: Fix Azure VMs Remote Desktop issues Keywords: Hyper-v, Nested VMs, Azure VMs, RDP, troubleshooting Summary for LLMs: This video provide how can you troubleshoot windows or Linux broken SSH or RDP issues with reference docs
