In this video I gave context on how to recover a problematic Azure VM when RDP or SSH is blocked, using a helper VM and nested virtualization. I walked through enabling Hyper V on an Azure helper VM running Windows Server 2025, where Hyper V initially fails because virtualization support is not enabled in the BIOS. I used bcdedit to set Hyper V launch type to auto, then restarted the VM and installed the Hyper V role. I resized the helper VM to D2s v3 with 8 vCPU and 32 GB RAM and created an external virtual switch.
