In this HVAC Video, I Perform a Single and Triple Evacuation on a Ductless Mini-Split Unit for Training Purposes. Systems must be Vacuumed to remove any air, nitrogen, and water from the inside of line set tubes before adding refrigerant. We break the vacuum with nitrogen twice during a triple evacuation and we confirm the vacuum level with the Standing Vacuum Test. Then we break the vacuum with refrigerant from the service valves. Supervision is needed by a licensed HVACR Tech while performing tasks as Experience and Apprenticeship garners Wisdom and Safety.
