REGISTER HERE: https://www.curiousmondo.com/realistic-mushrooms-polymer-clay-free Join Jana on a creative nature walk through the world of realistic polymer clay mushrooms! No paints will be used in making believable “Crimini”, “Psilocybin”, “White Elm Oyster”, and “Shaggy Mane” Mushrooms, but instead, we’ll create these adorable fungii from different colors of polymer clay, leading to a more natural and organic look. You will learn so very many new and innovative tips, tricks, and techniques in this course, including the use of crackled alcohol ink, carving components from raw clay, methods for creating luminosity in the clay, how to properly condition the clay, and invaluable curing information that will allow for durability in even the thinnest and most delicate appearing polymer creations! As a bonus, you will learn to create feathery polymer grass and moss, “hard to it’s not real” polymer twine, and mesmerizing “Reishi” Mushrooms. Learn, using Jana’s innovative and out-of-the box methods, to create: -Crimini Mushrooms, which includes instruction on nifty ways to use and “crackle” alcohol inks for an earthy look. -Psilocybin Mushrooms, which includes instruction on “hands free” shaping of the mushroom caps using ordinary studio tools, and creating a delicate, but strong, spindly mushroom stem. -White Elm Oyster Mushrooms, which includes instruction on achieving a glowing and luminous mushroom surface, and how to use everyday polymer tools to create realistic mushroom gills. -Shaggy Mane Mushrooms, which includes instruction on very inexpensive tool which is easy to obtain, and which will become a main stay, no doubt, in your polymer arsenal! Students will learn proper ways to fully cure polymer for a super durable finish, even when creating thin and delicate components, how to efficiently and easily condition polymer clay — yes, even the old, hard stuff, and how to handle the clay in ways that will assist in creating museum quality pieces. Additionally, the many tips and tricks that Jana has learned and developed over her years of teaching will be sprinkled throughout our course time together!
