This video Tom Stephenson discusses getting clarity on what a business wants and clearly defining its goals for the purpose of developing a business plan and strategy for the business. Goals are often not clearly defined and this can cause misdirection and bad decisions. A business plan and strategy with well defined goals will help a business to chart its course. A framework known as SMART goals is covered in detail to provide a process for goal development. This lecture also cautions the learner regarding change and opportunity and its impact on goals, expect it and know how to deal with it when it occurs, and it will occur.
